# Purchasing Quota

## **Why do I need to do this?**

AWS has placed a cap on the number of RI purchases per month. When you create your AWS instances, AWS sets default quotas (limits) on these resources on a per-region basis. The default limit for Reserved Instances is set to 20 per month, which is insufficient for OpsNow to fully utilize AutoRI's transaction algorithm. <br>

## **What do I need to do?**

Submit a request to AWS to increase the RI purchase quota for each region you have AutoRI eligible EC2 instances.

This information is found on the “**Coverage**” page of OpsNow AutoSavings menu:\
(OpsNow platform > Left Panel > AutoSavings > Coverage)

**Please follow the steps below to increase your quota for RI:**

\&#xNAN;*(Only direct admin access to the each AWS linked account can request for quota increase)*

9. Now the quota increase request for one region is complete. Quota increase requests have to be done in each region that you have AutoRI eligible EC2 instances. Please choose a different region from the pull-down at the top right side of the AWS console, and repeat the process from the step #5
