AWS

Summary

When registering AWS accounts in OpsNow, you gain access to the Cost and Resource Management features. To utilize the Cost menu, it's necessary to register a management account that contains billing information for all associated accounts. However, if you only want to use the Resource menu, you can register the specific accounts without needing to register a management account containing billing information.

Step1: AWS Login

  • Ensure that you are logged in with the AWS account you want to register in OpsNow.

  • Note that duplicate registration is not allowed for accounts already registered in OpsNow.

Step2: Create Stack in AWS

  • Click the 'Save' button below to connect to the AWS console. If a stack is in progress, it will be indicated by a loading icon or 'in progress' status in OpsNow.

  • To take a look at the OpsNow CloudFormation template, see CloudFomation YAML Template.

Step3: Register Linked Accounts(Optional)

  • Registering a management account provides a list of member accounts. You can check the member account list in Settings > Cloud Accounts, where they will be displayed with a 'Ready to Start' status.

  • To register the provided linked account in OpsNow, you need to grant permissions. Click the arrow button next to 'Ready to Start' for quick stack creation.
