Utilization Tab
The utilization is one of the indicators of how well you are using or benefiting from the commitment. This is the percentage of the used commitment out of the total purchased commitment. In a sense, the higher the utilization, the greater the cloud cost savings.
All/Savings Plans/Reserved Instance tabs: You can select the tab to check information by commitment type.
Search conditions: You can check information by selecting products and cloud accounts.
OpsNow Insight AI: Displays the commitment recommendations with AI.
Summary usage information of commitments: Displays the summary information such as Total Utilization, Commitment, Used Commitment, Total Savings, Savings Rate, etc.
Total Utilization: Another indicator of how well you are using or benefiting from the commitment. This is the percentage of the used commitment out of the total purchased commitment. In a sense, the higher the utilization, the greater the cloud cost savings. Total Utilization = (RI Used commitment amount + SP Used commitment amount) ÷ Total purchased commitment amount × 100
Commitment: Displays the total commitment amount.
Used Commitment: Displays the total used commitment amount.
Total Savings: The difference between the On-Demand Cost Equivalent amount and the total purchased commitment amount over the selected period. Total Savings = (RI On-Demand Cost Equivalent + SP On-Demand Cost Equivalent) - (RI Used commitment amount + SP Used commitment amount)
Savings Rate: This shows the savings effect of the commitment in numbers. First, we convert the discounted cloud resource cost into On-Demand prices and then subtract the purchased commitment amount from the converted amount. Then, divide this amount by the converted amount, which is the On-Demand Cost Equivalent amount. Savings Rate = Total Savings ÷ (RI On-Demand Cost Equivalent + SP On-Demand Cost Equivalent) × 100
