What is FinOps?

Last updated 7 months ago

Before we begin on our cloud journey, I would like to explain FinOps.

The value of FinOps is a core concept within OpsNow, and we are committed to helping customers optimize their cloud resources and reduce costs when using cloud services. So, what exactly does FinOps mean?

FinOps is a financial management framework for managing and optimizing cloud costs. It focuses on increasing visibility and accountability for cloud costs through collaboration among IT, finance, and operations teams within an organization.

The primary goals of FinOps:

  • Cost Transparency: Real-time monitoring and analysis of the cost of using the cloud, reducing the gap between budget and actual spending.

  • Optimizing Efficiency: Maximize the efficiency of cloud resources, reducing unnecessary costs and increasing operational efficiency.

  • Align with Business Goals: Connect cloud cost management with business goals to improve performance across the organization.

OpsNow is designed based on FinOps' core ideology, which optimizes cloud resources and achieves cost savings to help you utilize the cloud efficiently.

In particular, OpsNow provides a subscription program that can drastically reduce cloud management resources for customers through "AutoSavings" menu. More details are covered in detail in the AutoSavings menu below.
